Introduction
Suicide committed at any stage or age of life is never appreciable and can never lie recommended by a wise and sensible person. Actually it is a foolish escape from the liabilities of life which a peculiar kind of person is unable to fulfill due to his particularly critical circumstances. Unfortunately, “teenage suicide” is being committed on a very large scale throughout the world due to certain reasons which must be removed as soon as possible. Chief causes of teenage suicide’ are as follows.
Lack of a bright career
A number of teenagers commit suicide because they feel that their specific circumstances cannot ensure a bright career for them in near as well as remote future. Such people have dreams about their bright career and when they realize that these dreams can never come true, they get frustrated and irritated to an extent where they think that it is quite useless to lead such a fruitless life and, hence, they commit suicide.
Addiction of wine or other drugs
Another major cause of teenage suicide is the addiction of wine and other drugs. This is the most tragedic aspect of our social life that a number of our talented and skilful youth fall a victim to excess drinking and narcotics. They spoil themselves in all respects and, with the passage of time, when they find it impossible to afford the acute intensity and utter requirements of this habitual addiction; they find no solution to this problem other than killing themselves by committing suicide. All this is due some lead company and poor social and economic set up. Sometimes over drinking and over dosing of drugs may also cause the death of the wretched wreck. Failures in love affairs
Sometimes love affairs at teenage prove very much disastrous if they get flopped due to certain reasons. A teenage lover is usually too immature to understand the bitter realities of life and is unable to cope with such a miserable situation and, hence, collapse. He/she gets too depressed to think realistically and finds suicide the only way of escaping from all the trash of this world. In some of these cases, the two lovers commit suicide simultaneously leaving every one to think that their love was true.
Poor academic performance
Some teenage students get up set due to their poor academic performance again an again. For example a student may keep on failing in the exams for a few years and consequently get disappointed and depressed in response to the pinching comments and severe taunting on the part of his parents, brothers, sisters, friends, relatives, etc. With this state of mind, the teenage student does not like to face the world and thinks suicide as the best possible way of getting rid of all this humiliation and insult. So he commits suicide on account of repeatedly poor academic results.
Over sensitive nature
Some teenagers possess over-sensitive nature and take the trifles to their heart. They take ordinary mishaps too seriously to enable them to tackle them normally. Even if their minor expectations are not fulfilled, they get frustrated and think that there is no good reason left to live in this world. As a result, they commit suicide.
