During the Middle Ages and between 14th to 17th century times, Ancient Egyptian colors such as Lead white, minimum, Egyptian Blue, and others were widely used by synthetic artists.
Being a luxuriant color the color “minimum” gave more meaning to the term “diminutive”. A tiny painting could be made very small on canvass and due to the red paint used in it.
Till date, there are traditional oil painters working on various colorful designs of gemstones.
Ancient Egyptians extracted colors from natural wastes
They produced colors from heating of minerals, ores, metals

They invented methods to produce colors from vegetables, plants and trees.

Black color was discovered from the collected dirt found in oil lamps. Also known as lantern black or rich furry black.
Colorant was one of the first inventions of Ancient Egypt with regard to color. In order to attach dye to a cloth or leather, a certain sort of alum and potassium need be applied. Once the dyeing process is near completion, the mordant creates a solid waste which has a predetermined color on it.
Sapphire and Madder lake are the two unique pond tinctures used in ancient Egypt
An ambiguous blue color, indigo, was brought to light by wode, a vegetable.
They produced Madder lake color, which is a glum reddish-purple color similar to the Alizarian pink.
Egyptian blue might be one of the most famous of all the artistic colors created in ancient Egypt.
