Starting your own business requires proper business plan and proper business strategy, this does not neccesarily means you should hire a consultant for that or get a pen or pencil and write a whole strategy in a book.

From my experience, it is your knowledge that counts, putting your knowledge into a skill is what makes you a successful business man.
