Default would you prefer to outsource customer service

would you prefer to outsource customer service as generall people prefer to keep it under their own moderation since giving it outside might be a risk for their customer to be exposed elsewhere.

Well, it is believed that outsourcing customer support is a significant cost saving step to do, however, if your business needs interaction with all employees then I think remote jobs (outsourcing) is not the right thing to do. Most designing firms like logoworks.com can never outsource their support, the sole reason is customer support executives have to INTERACT with the designers.

if you look at it in a economy point of view, is it actually a threat to the domestic job market.

I have a small online business and I act as the customer support representative. Sometimes my brother help if they have time. If my business becomes bigger I would probably outsource.

For small and medium investors, it is not a safe game to outsource the jobs. They need to have the chemistry between them and the users. So they have to deal with customers directly. It will be a bad idea that will be left upon the firm when the customers are not satisfied. For a big company, which has gained reputation, this will not be a problem.

Outsourcing customer service to who? I probably wouldn't (due to the communication barrier). IT's also your reputation on the line that you don't want to ruin.

Communication barrier? well, people outsource support to Pakistan and India, even Bangladesh and and they are handling the support very efficiently, e.g : Dell and HP.

Bobcares.com is another company based in India.

Yes of course there are some that can do it excellently. I would personally prefer to keep the support locally where I can meet up with the support people and explain to them about what the company is about and such.

As I explained before, this is the case only with design firms, firms like logoworks.com can never outsource their support, the sole reason is customer support executives have to INTERACT with the designers. However, if you own a hosting company, any company can outcourse your support more effectively and less cost saving.

Everything is outsourced these days.
