What happened to LIVE search ??? Sudden increase in indexed pages

What happened to LIVE search it has suddenly indexed pages more than google & btw.. earlier Live would index very less pages of the sites compared to GOOGLE earlier for my site ShareNGain Web Directory the indexed pages were arounf 50 now it is around 1240 u can see this here
what is this ??? is it nice or ??? My site has only around 700 pages how can it index 7000 pages .. I am really confused..

They keep on updating indexed pages count and release indexed pages update on their search at once. Therefore you got excessive pages indexed there, also it depends if there more back links according to MSN to your site. More back links you got on Live Search more chances you will get max. number of indexed pages.

Definitely it's positive sign, I checked your directory there must be 1300+ pages there in your directory (172 links x 2 + static pages + blog's pages) and you are lucky Live Search indexed almost all of your directory's pages. Btw, it's 1240 not 7000 though.

Isn't that a good thing that it is indexed more? I know for one I would certainly be much more ecstatic about it.

Great!!! I and I am also getting traffic from LIVE>... last month October 2007 received 120 Uniques more than google...

Live is doing pretty good, keep an eye on their official blog Live Search : Microsoft acquires Jellyfish.com

They have recently acquired JellyFish.com.
