is too hard to get listed on dmoz..? I have submit my unprofitable website & follow their guideline but still didn't got respond yet.. Maybe they need money to get listed..

It's naive to suggest that all editors are corrupt... I've never had any communication with an editor that has indicated that they are open to "deals".
The Shoemoney issue stems back to his frustrated post years ago (on another forum) where he glibly said he'd pay to be listed - and that offer has come back to bite him. Overclock is typical of site owners who can't understand why they don't get listed. But it's simple - too many submissions which need significant work to get listed and too few editors. Simplest solution: sign up as an editor in a category of interest but outside the scope of your websites, edit and reduce the overall pool of submissions. Who knows, you may eventually be given the categories you are commercially interested in once you have proven yourself. |
