New blog from DMOZ

I came across the new blog of DMOZ, i.e. http://blog.dmoz.org

What do you think about that new blog of DMOZ? Will it help the web site owners?

BTW a post http://blog.dmoz.org/2007/09/26/the-search-for-dmoz/ is reply of what we have heard few days ago, that DMOZ has gone from Google' search.

For me, Dmoz itself was never helpful except for finding some good categories! So the blog would be helpless in the same way

And yep you are true, there is a lot of info already here -

Submitting a Site to the Open Directory
But as the blog is new and famous all around now.. people would use it more to read the guidelines.

Probably been influenced by trolls on other forums. From an insider's perspective there's no institutionalized scamming going on. There may be individuals or groups behaving unethically, but nothing widespread.
