Planning to start a new web directory - Quick Buck ?

Hi Guys,

I have made a complete case study of web masters entering the directory business to make a quick buck & where do most of them land up.

Please give me feedback on the above article, If I have missed any of the points. I have really not tried to exaggerate on any point. But just trying to post the truth and what really happens.

I can't agree with you 100%. As there are problems in every sphere of our lives- and there are some people who does not go by the rules- I must say that those are just for the time-being.

I have no problem to accept that there are many people whose primary aim is to install directory-script and announce them for some quick buck and then dump those directories.

But whose fault is it? Why do people/webmasters pay to directories that they do not know?

So even webmaster who blindly submit to unknown directories are to blame. SEOs would not submit to a directory unless it is properly established.

I think many web masters also want to buy some cheap links.

I agree that established directories, will always make the most amount of money & always offer good link value.

I agree that established directories, will always make the most amount of money & always offer good link value.

And that is most important thing, plenty of old and established directories are still making big bucks, it all depends upon quality, strict editorial integrity and unique content of your directory.
