That's nice and lucky indeed. When G is penalizing every directory thing over the net, allthelook got an authority status, awesome!

I would suggest you to remove any sitewide or home page links from your directory, it will keep your directory more safe.

But my question is what are requirements to receive authority links. Google says it depends solely on Google, but there should be some criteria to qualify.

There is not specific criteria or docs present online, it is automated system present in Google's algo.

The sites which are being visited more frequently, the sites with daily updates, with rich in content, error free, no coding bugs or error, having proper sitemap, and all essential features that a website can have may lead to become an authority site.
