Free directories-need help

Hi,
I am new to this field and need some guidance.I have been going through various free directories where a reciprocal URL is needed for validation,
But is it necessary to add reciprocal links visibly to our directory and where does the webmasters put up their site links ,What is the most acceptable method as I don't have a homepage full of reciprocal links to free directories
Please help me with this .

I believe most of free directories don't require reciprocal links, though such directories take time for inclusion due to back log. If you have to give reciprocal links there is no need to put on home page, add extra pages like "Links" or "Resources" and add those directories there.

i think if u are new then dont put reciprocal just ignore them
