Incresing site ranks through Alexa toobar

I am totally new to Alexa tool bar and have a question for those who have used it practically.Since i have installed Alexa tool bar my finance site has been constantly jumping about 100,000 each time the Alexa updates.when i installed the tool bar few weeks back,the site ranked 1 million which is now closer to 680000.Can anybody tell me is this a good sign or you say that Alexa is totally worthless

Most of the people say that Alexa ranking is worthless but still few depends on this. So its a kind of mixed bag reactions from everyone. Only a few opt for this service. It does not have a much impact.

I don't have reaction for this. I'm depending on Google Page Rank. I'm not into Alexa because most pay per post or other affiliations like TLA are into PageRank.

Though Alexa ranking may not be taken into consideration in many cases ilike to have a good Alexa rank for my sites.it gives you a sense of pride.

Whenever I visit a new site, the first thing i look at is the alexa rank of that site.If its high I feel that the site is a popular one and I start exploring the site thoroughly.If its a low ranked one then my thoughts over the site become low.

I am trying to explain to you the impact of each "Alexa Toolbar Installed" visitor into your site.
