Arrow Adsense CTR and eCPM?

Hello ,
From a long time i'm seeing discussions based on page ctr and ecpm but i never read those and just moved ahead.
I think i'm being a bit silly but i really want to know how i can earn more from adsense and facts about ctr and ecpm.
Can anyone give me some good adsense tips?
Should the CTR be low ? or high? and what about eCPM?

Thanks in Advance.

CTR:

CTR is clickthrough rate can be obtained as number of clicks an ad receives divided by the number of times the ad, ad unit, or page is shown

eCPM:

eCPM (effective cost-per-thousand impressions) is a useful way to compare revenue across different channels and advertising programs, from a publisher's perspective.

from "number of times the ad, ad unit, or page is shown" do you mean Total Page Impressions?

I think it's number of times the ad units are being shown, means if you have 3 ad units, it will effect CTR. If you have 2 ad units per page, there are more chances to earn high.

Sometimes little words and abbreviations get people worried but they make complex explanations very simple. CTR and eCPM are included in those.
