How to identify bots entering my forum?

Hi all.I have this newly installed vB forum in my site.I want to distinguish between real humans and bots that enter my site.For bots,the count is given as a guest.Which is too confusing for me.In some forums Ive seen in the active users section "google bot" "yahoo slurp"

How to do it for my forum?Is it a mod?I couldnt find such a mod in vBulletin.org

If anybody can help me,Id be happy
