Default Does someone has experienced with ASP.NET?

If we say all web revolves around PHP/MYSQL pair then it will not wrong but I am in process of creating a site in ASP.NET in these days on MS VISUAL STUDIO 2005. I shall say it make very easy to create sites with countless web controls, security modules, permission and many more stuff. Does someone else has experienced its power here? I am amazed to see its scalability, deployment, and ease of development. I shall like if someone can share his experience here?

Yup, sure do,

I could make you a site just like facebook in ASP.net using C#.

I would prefer Java or conventional C/C++ modules, or even perl or python over .net, cause .net is proprietary.

Seems like you are pretty good at it as you can create similar code like facebook but I hope it will be far easy than other languages.
