New kind of promotion!

Hi friends.I thought of this new kind of promotion to my site.

I thought I will contact all those moderate blog owners[wordpress] who receive around 50-100 uniques per month and then offer them a blogpost with a link to my site in it.

Is this a good method?I like doing blog posts.So I thought, why not use it for promotion?
