Default Paid Posters - Does that really helps in promoting?

Hello members,
Nowadays we see a plenty of forums on the net and half of them are unsuccessful because they really don't have unique content on their forums .
Also , many webmasters are hiring paid posters to promote their forum .
I haven't really done that yet but I'd like to know does that really helps?
Paid posters aren't active members so I don't think that its of any use .
The only thing you can get is some hits from SE's and I don't think too much of them .
What do you have to say about paid posters?
Are they worth using?
What else can we use to promote our forums?

I have hired paid posters in the past. I make sure to tell them that I expect the posts to be ORIGINAL and NOT stolen from another forum.
After they make the posts, I google all the posts to make sure they are not listed on another forum. Only then, do I pay them.

Instead of Google you should use Copyscape . It is a better option .

IMO if someone can find good company or individuals then this will not be a bad deal. It is good to increase some content to start a forum.

Copyscape limited can only search 10 time for one time, and you need to pay $0.05 to each search. Properly more accurate but the cost will be higher also.
