Forum signature is one of the best to popularise the blogs or sites to some extent. Placing the keywords exactly might bring more attention to viewers. They help well to increase the traffic. But i think sites having a greater pr will not allow to use signature. Is that true?

I get about 10% od traffic directly from sig links and I can't masure how much traffic I get from SE because of sig links.

Yes, it's a good technique of getting new visitors and referrals

The only problem I have with this is not knowing where my referrals are coming from

Yes. This is another way to gain some traffic and referrals. Many people still not use this method efficiently. Some people also earn well by selling their space at their signiture to make money. I also already earn well from this method. Yes. If that forum have high PR, its good to have back link with that forum using signiture.

An important thin about signatures in forums is "NoFollow" Tag. Probably if it will be On, none of your signatures will be counted as a link or backlink. Iti s just an information to share with all of you. If you can see a No Follow tag in your backlinks details report then that is supposed not to be included in the links.
