Forum promotion techniques!

I have launched my forum recently. Now I would like to discuss with you the most effective forum promotion methods! What advices could you provide on forum policy and rules? What restrictions should I apply for a forum at the first stages? Any other advices and recommendations on how to promote a forum effectively are welcome! Thanks in advance!

Quality is the KING. Your forum must have good design, unique content and a lot of work. Promote with links in signature and post good messages, not spam. Make some exchanges, put the link in free to add directories with pr. Pay some adwords campaigns .. You must work constantly and you'll make it.

Yes, I agree quality is the main thing for forum!
Try to make as much relevant as possible.
And good design is also necessary.
But I think that the main thing for good and quality forum is webmaster, if you have such a well-to-do and good-educated person, you are lucky!
