Default Importance of keywords.

Hi,

Is the first keyword listed considered as being the most important, the second listed as second most important, and so on.

Is this true?

Please confirm, thank you.

regards,
Zafar Ahmed

Yea ... importance of keywords used to work like that way. But personally I believe keywords not working for SEO in present time since everyone is using highly optimized keyword phrases.

Content matters!!!

I disagree, I think the most significant step for SEO is identifying your target audience and keyword phrase, it helps to get targeted visitors, not just waisted traffic, keywords still have their importance in present time although there is a tough competition.

  • Choose appropriate keywords very important!
  • You can keep on testing with the variation of keywords.
  • Place keywords in all pages of your site not only on home page.
Below are few useful tools while selecting/suggesting keywords:

Most important keyword first is good for the following reason

1-when your site appears in SERP, human/visitor/we read first few or highlighted words of description and title, so if you put your most targeted keyword first (they will bring good traffic)
2-Search enginge crawler gives prefrence to what's at top and what's at bottom, and what's prominant, so I beleive that thre must b some priority algorithmatically.

Goodluck

I am confused! why to start from low to high? I think a high valued keyword will take its own time and starting from low end doesn't count. We are being cached and crawled regularly so why to work on low valued keywords? People always try to go on the top for their highly valued keywords for quick benefits and business so why to wait?
