keywords problem!!

How do I get it to pick up my keywords? DOES it without me know? I am just on a page so far back that nobody would see. Well whichever way I can only, locate my site by typing requiem.the-rise.co.uk I did not put a Meta tag on my site yet; they do not seem to work. In addition, how does Google categorize who goes on the first page?
