You want quantity or quality??

Hello,

I was of the belief that we should search for only appropriate links - i.e. not link farms. Yesterday I read a piece by Brad Callen where he recommended accepting any link, to get the numbers up. I respect Brad's opinion but wondered if others agree?

I have to agree having links is not the key to good rankings on the search engines, links should be all about relevance. Well, a good quality link farm takes good time. We should remember that websites which bring you relevant traffic are going to be the best sites to get links from

I go by Zafar.Quality links alone can help you. Quality lags cannot be compensentated even if the links are from good sites. So the quantity matters only a bit but quality is what more important.

Ectually How we control the quality, How do we know what web site is quality. Any one help me about this.

Well in Search Engine Optimization, its all about quality cuz quality content is important as well as quality link backs.

Yes a link is a link and will always be a link, but strong relevant links are the way forward. Getting links from relevant and general sites that could have some thing related to your site, links from sites that are no where related to your site may affect rankings.

quality is best, but getting 1,000 off-topic links wont kill ya, otherwise we could crush our competition but just pointing a bunch of off-topic links to their site

I thinks both are important in Search Engine Optimization cuz you want quality at every step but in content quantity does matter along with quality.
