How do I copyright my photos?

I am planning to open an online photo gallery.For that my friend,who is a photographer has accepted to provide me with some cool pictures every week.

I need to know how I can copyright them?Can somebody help me with it?

This is actually not true.

Editorial Photographers - Copyright, check the website for how to do it, you should also reference U.S. Copyright Office for the official information.

You can also include the "© 2007 yournamehere" as it tells everyone that "yourname" hereby declares copyright ownership of this photo since 2007.

Oops.I got it wrong.How do I create watermarks in the photo?Like you can see the website name at the bottom in a photo.This is what I actually meant.Sorry for the mistake......

I think this is some kind of script you are using which automatically watermarks the image when you upload it. Correct me I am wrong?

I just simply used html to merge two images, one is the woman with sharee(.jpg), and another one is the watermark image(.png/.gif). No scripting there, so you can use it in static or dynamic pages. And this is probably one of the easiest and safest ways to protect your images in web.

linkingpro, if you think the solution suites fine with your need, then i will provide you the source code.

Before that, take a deep look at that site again (the url I provided before).
