E-bay anti fraud system

Hackers have posted personal information on some of the Ebay customers to an Ebay forum, dedicated, ironically, to fraud prevention. The information was up for a day before Ebay shut the forum down ,Then they dispalyed the displayed email details, CVV2 numbers, , home addresses and all the credit card details to their customers.
Ebay then made a statemant that the accounts were not acquired through a breach of its security and suggests it was likely obtained through hacking or account takeovers.
