I hate spamming!!

Some Mr. has been spamming my Chailey guestbook with Viagra links. My question is, is it “someone" or “something" and if it’s “someone" then is there anything I can do about him/her?

Personally, if it is a "someone", I'd like to meet them with a big stick, just for showing disregard, but aside from that, any brilliant ideas anyone (other than concluding down the guest book which I'm hate to do)?

Its always happen. Nothing we can do about that because their using some software to make that spamming. Just delete it or ignore it if you don't like.

Actually i am also getting these links in my submission in my directory (only one) even if i banned the ip's after a week they are back with 10's of links... what to do ??? any solution ??? I am using phpld 3.x i also banned the domain then also coming again and again

I think i need to attend him/her (spammer) with a PISTOL..

No need to get aggressive, how wisely they attacked your directory, so wisely you attack on them

There is some mod available in the market, anon (Rob) on DP can provide you such services, he will install spam filter in your directory (phpLD) and you will get rid of this problem!

Btw, those who get spamming mails on OutLook Express, here is some filter I like Outlook Spam Filter - Inbox Protection

You are right but his mod's are all super expensive so i rather like to moderate it manually

hardly it takes some seconds to do it

The only way to attack them back is to ignore them. I am unsure what did you mean by "attack them back"

There is also Mailwasher Spam Filter Software: The Reliable Free Spam Blocker | MailWasher that you can use . Or you can do one more thing, whenever you get a spam, get the address and banned their specific address, slowly you will get there.

Give a try to MailWasher.

I was the victim of the same thing on my Wordpress blog, I put on Askimet and everything was fine!
