Default Getting started with web designing.

Few weeks back I purchased a e-book from one of the sites and got a free domain ,hosting a template. Now the easy and quick way is turning out to be no quick.

I am totally clueless but I am curious to learn web design and understand it from ground.I just need to know from where can i start this learning process.

Should I just get frontpage or learn the coding on notepad. Is there any good E-book to start with??

Thanks
Matt

I don't know about any e-book, but you can start web designing on your own.

Just browse different websites and try to understand what is the theme behind the website. Try to re-draw websites and once you get it done, go to frontpage and dreamweaver and convert it to html

I mean just start on your own. Don't wait for finding good e-books on web designing. Just start right now... Books can be find and read anytime but don't waste your time in waiting for books.

I went to England with a school project last year, and learned a great deal of interesting things, and I like web-designing a lot, google may be the solution but you can also try piczo, I mean to see how this site works

I would start off by learning how to code by hand.. then you can use a program (such as dreamweaver) to help you. Also, pixeltutorials.com has many more coding tutorials (and designing ones) for you there.
