Default Yahoo!Mobile contact list problem

I got in my contact list some persons who log in via Mobile!Yahoo, so via their mobiles. When I am logged in and they come online I see them, but when I log out and log in again, I don't see them online anymore, just as offline. Other time when they are online via mobile and I just log in to my Yahoo account I don't see them at all. And it happens from my own computer and from the cyber-cafe. I don't understand it. Please, help me. It's urgent.

Hi,

I think you need to get the mobile versions of Yahoo messenger on your messenger, I am not really sure as I use MSN.

The people you see online and then offline are using different Yahoo Messenger versions. I have experienced the same thing before. Even with the desktop version of Y! Messsenger if the users have different versions you cannot see them online sometimes and also you cannot do photo sharing with them , you can`t send them any files.

well there are several alternatives you can look for!
a) you can try updating the cellphone's firmware and check if it has an updated yahoo messenger.
b) you can see if your phone can install JAVA applications. (.jar files) Agile messenger and several others which provide integrated IMs are available to download
c) can try nokia-europe website for the required software. I had the same problem with my Nokia 3110c but now when I updated the firmware. everything works fine
