According to a Swedish study, men who have high levels of “psychological distress” had are more likely to develop type2 diabetes than the men with lower levels of such distress.
Under the study, cases of 2,127 men who were born during 1938 and 1957 were studied similarly, 3,100 women were also studied but the researchers didn’t find any such link in them.
In the Journal Diabetic Medicine, the researchers wrote that stress and anxiety might have affected the hormone regulation in the brain.

Despite of 20 percent down in company’s stock price during his 13-month reign, Yahoo’s CEO is still optimistic as his message to his frustrated shareholders suggests that things aren’t bad as they have been depicted.
“We are doing just fine in a tough environment and tough economy” Yang stated in an interview with The Associated Press. “We are hopeful for a lot of good things ahead.”
However, if Yahoo’s 2Q results are examined, they don’t provide any reason for enthusiasm.
But still these results aren’t as alarming as many investors were expecting after Yahoo’s months long sparring with Microsoft Corp.

To make the Internet free of broadband providers’ interference, the U.S. Federal Communication is considering taking some steps against them. Many witnesses told The FCC about interferences like tracking of Web habits, subscribers and slowing down of peer-to-peer traffic.
According to Marge Krueger who is administrator of the Communication Workers of America, “It is essential for FCC to take steps against such broadband providers that don’t allow access even to some legal Internet applications and they also don’t issue any notice to their subscribers in this connection.”

Kathryn Robinson can help him best if Sen. John McCain really wants to become a Web-savvy citizen. Robinson is of 106 and almost 35 years older than McCain. She lives in Barclay Friends, West Chester Pa and she started using Internet when she was of 98.She told in an e-mail message that she started to learn Internet as she wanted to e-mail her family.
There was much fuss on different Blogs when McCain admitted that he was an illiterate about the Internet and had to rely on his wife to get assistance for the Internet.

A detailed explanation for the rejection of Hollywood studios’ final contract offer has been given by the Screen Actors Guild on Thursday while citing drift in pay and union influence on Internet productions.
Guild’s executive director Doug Allen claimed in a letter to SAG’s 120,000 members that the offer would let actors that are not a part of the union into nearly all media productions for the expected future.
It would also omit residuals fees offered to actors for the specifically made content and to transmit again on the Internet.

The best thing is that you aren’t restricted into a lingering contract besides getting a minute’s loaded cell phone for less than $15. More minutes can be purchased whenever those minutes run out.
But the traffickers at New York, California, Texas, Georgia, South Florida and other places have estimated that they can make big profits by purchasing these inexpensive phones and modifying the software to make call at any cell network. Then these modified phones are sold all around the world and cost the cellphone companies millions of dollars.

On Friday, the 3rd Gen iPhone went on sale in the region of Asia-Pacific. After a thirty second countdown with hundreds of chanted people, the new iPhone made its debut in Japan.
In the celebration, at Japanese carrier Softbank Corp. store, a digital clock display over the entrance was also included which was the part of a worldwide rollout in 22 nations of the much-touted 3G iPhone. The new iPhone is a new update version of the model that was introduced last year in the U.S. and many other countries.
The other Asia-Pacific countries that getting the 3rd Gen iPhone are Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. iPhone will be available at 8am in every time zone in the U.S.

According to General Motors high claims, its gun like run Chevrolet Volt will get ready for production by 2010. If this vehicle is produced on time, in noteworthy numbers and succeeds to work reliably well, the Volt will serve as a milestone in motor technology.
God forefend! If it doesn’t do well, General Motors may be accused of “Spoiling the electric car” once more.
