AT&T Inc. Announced its business plans for Apple iPhone. The company has focused the corporate customers of the iPhone Smartphone for the first time. Market specialists however, feel that the announced business plan, the ‘3est-cost plan‘, is still 2.5 times higher cost wise when compared to the other available market business plans for the Smartphone consumers.
IBM also confirmed the speculations that were traversing through the markets and consumers regarding its plans of supporting the iPhone with the ‘Lotus Notes Enterprise Messaging System‘. AT&T’s announcement comes just at the nick of the time.
AT&T’s new iPhone plans for businesses and other corporate organizations have been flashed in its website. According to that the plan will include a two-year’s service agreement .The company has combined the pre-existing plan with two parts. It will now have one billing system for both the voice and data modifying the existing consumer iPhone plans.
The company will offer three different enterprise business plans with distinct service packages. These ‘Enterprise Data Plans‘ would begin with a price of $45 per month for 200 text messages, $55 a month for 1,500 text messages and $65 for unlimited texting.
All the three business plans would contain an unlimited domestic data access through the ‘AT&T’s EDGE network‘. Among all these plans the consumers plan with 200 message data part stands out as the cheapest one with a price at $20 only.
For corporate and business organizations it will be necessary to sign up for a new voice plan. Alternatively the existing plan can also be restored for each iPhone. Specific voice plans would be available for sale with the standard corporate rates ranging from $39.99 for 450 monthly minutes to $199.99 for 6,000 minutes monthly in plans sans minute sharing among users.
AT&T is also offering a $25 monthly credit to new iPhone accounts if these are activated latest by the March 31 this year. For such accounts the transfer of credits shall also be applicable to bills through the end of 2008.
