‘Fujitsu’ announced the introduction of its new laptop that is expected to take precedence over one of the rules of notebook physics. This new laptop would be featuring a bigger screen than a similar predecessor model, but it is much lighter.
This technological shift and has been made possible for an important reason that it is basically based on a fundamental change in screen technology from fluorescent-backlit to LED-backlit.

Paul Moore, Senior Director of mobile product marketing for ‘Fujitsu’ did disclose in a ‘ray-statement’ to David De Jean for his story headlined “The Future Of Mobile Tech: Next Year’s Notebooks Will Be Worth Waiting For”, “ The future, it turns out, is now”. Paul Moore was speaking in generalized way about the display technology in the “LifeBook S6510” that ‘Fujitsu’ announced recently.

Smartphone market feels upheavals with ‘Palm’ that is losing ground. “Research In Motion’s” profit has scored two times profit on the other side. The company published its quarterly earnings this week. This turned market scenario paints a clear picture of what mobile users are demanding and what doesn’t work for them as much anymore.

‘Palm’ reported a quarterly loss of $9.63 million this second quarter, compared with a $12.8 million profit a year earlier. The company’s revenue went down by 11%, and Palm’s stock fluctuated heavily.
The company hopes that the ‘Palm Centro’ and the introduction of more ‘Windows Mobile-based Smartphones’ will be its ticket to recover the revenue jolts.
“We are pleased with the early success of the ‘Palm Centro’ and intend to deliver more Windows Mobile and Palm-based products throughout the next year”, said Ed Colligan, Palm’s president and CEO.

AT&T released a list of the Top 10 most downloaded ringtones this week, realizing the fact that the mobile users are crazier for music by popular artists instead of polyphonic sounds created specifically for cell phones.

Gartner, the research firm predicted recently that the worldwide end-user spending on mobile music is expected to reach at a new level of $32.2 billion by 2010 from a level of $13.7 billion this year. It is in fact an ortho-shift where the growth in ‘ringtone revenue’ is on down side and the ‘realtones’ are becoming new “cash cows” for carriers, reveals the research firm Gartner.
‘Realtones’, or the ‘True Tones’ or the ‘Real Music Tones’, are snippets of real songs that are used as ringtones. Polyphonic ringtones, on the other hand, are simple instrumental versions of songs made with a synthesizer and intended to play on any cell phone.

Once again, military technology does it. What it was initially supposed to be was a way to protect soldiers from chemical attacks, and now ways have been found to apply it to our everyday lives. In this technologically advanced era, portable electronics that store our important data is being used at increasing rates in increasing amounts, and protecting these tools is becoming more important.
These small items proved difficult to protect before this technology came about as they had to remain small and the traditional bulky waterproofing methods was simply not viable. This new technology, known as ion-mask, creates a protective layer over virtually any material that is just nanometres thick and it works even with the intricate parts of the electronics that are the circuit boards and processors without causing any damage. This form of protection is achieved via the means of an ionised gas, or “plasma”.
