Quick one after another launch of Google App Engine on Monday which is also a proposal to open Google’s computing communications to third-party developers — Google has also opened a new online store that has been named as the Google Solutions Marketplace, a gateway for functions that create use of Google’s application programming interfaces.
The online marketplace, a comparatively small development in itself, is an added sign of Google’s rising interest in the venture. Google branded again JotSpot — a business focused Wiki Company it obtained last year — as Google Sites. And on Monday, Salesforce.com — which defined business software again with its demanded model — is set to publicize that it will begin reselling Google Apps to its clients, as reported by the TechCrunch blog.
Google Apps will be “convincingly incorporated” into Salesforce.com’s service, TechCrunch stated. Such an agreement would enhance a working connection the companies already have, in which Salesforce.com clientele can supervise their AdWords records. The agreement has sense, according to TechCrunch writer Erick Schonfeld. “Salesforce desires to come as close to Google as it can. And Google wants to sell its apps to venture clients (Salesforce has 41,000 of them).”
At Google’s developer meeting, Google I/O, planned for May in San Francisco, Google programmers will be telling the developers on how to increase Google Apps using the a variety of data APIs the company has given. The data APIs provide an interface for reading and writing data to Google requests like Docs and almanac. For example, Google released a design API for Docs, which permits programmers to create widgets that show spreadsheet data in various visual ways.
