We had a Ford Escape a few years ago but traded it in and went with another brand to see if we were missing something. We found out eventually that we weren’t missing a thing by going to another brand and that’s why we stopped by Sunset Ford of Sumner to check out what we’ve really been missing – a Ford. The 2017 Ford Escape We’ve pretty much owned Fords all our adult lives with the exception of that temporary aberration of buying another brand out of curiosity. We don’t believe in “Once a Ford person, always a Ford person,” either, but we do see some validity to the coincidence of it. Once you own a Ford you get accustomed to the comfort and the exquisite design and engineering that went into it so you naturally stick with a good thing. We just don’t want people to think that we…

Sunset Chevrolet is a great place to see all the new 2017 Chevys. We looked at the Malibu, the Tahoe, the Traverse and the Cruze. We’ve already owned and loved the bigger Chevy models so we thought we’d like to see what all the commotion was about the compact Cruze. Our neighbors has one and to tell you the truth, that’s all they talk about. “Our Cruze this,” and “our Cruze that,” well, you know how it goes. The 2017 Chevy Cruze We certainly didn’t want to turn into our neighbors but we were pretty curious about their car – since they talk about it all the time. So, when we got to Sunset we looked at all the cars and trucks and saved the Cruze for last. We almost didn’t make it though because we walked past one on the lot and we both stopped and looked in the…

Traditional muscle cars have been around for a long time because people just love speed and they love to own fast cars. The 1960s and 70s were the high point for manufactured stock muscle cars but they have made a strong comeback in the last few years. The 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Coupe is one of the most noticeable muscle cars out this year and it lives up to its legendary muscle car reputation by being built for durability and speed – lots of speed. 2017 Dodge Challenger The SRT Hellcat comes with an 8-speed auto transmission and a V-8, 6.2 Liter engine that pumps out 707 horses that will fly you from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. We don’t recommend that you wait for a competitor at every stop sign because statistically, you will get more than one speeding ticket. On the other hand, two guys…

Hyundai started out in South Korea as the Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company in 1947. At that time in South Korea there weren’t very many large manufacturing companies and Hyundai was one of the first to break the mold, so to speak. The company was founded by Chung Ju-Yung who was born into a poor framing family. He came to Seoul to find a better life and he worked at many jobs including dock work, railway construction and book keeping until he started his first rice store. He ultimately had to close the store due to the Japanese occupation and he began to repair American military trucks after the war. 2017 Hyundai Elantra He started his engineering and construction company not long after that and sky rocketed to success constructing many buildings and making millions of dollars doing so. He also went into the shipbuilding business, knowing nothing at all…

Have you seen the commercial with the hamster escaping from the hospital and parachuting off the top of the ultra tall building into the sunroof of a car? It’s a great commercial and although we have never met the hamster or his stunt double we have met the car and it is none other than the 2017 Kia Soul. The 2017 KIA Soul If you’ve seen the spot then you know just how sporty this little car really is. By the way, the hamsters inside the car were actually humans who were dressed up in hamster costumes. Kia is most likely working a smaller model of the Soul to accommodate tiny hamsters but they had to use a full size Kia for this commercial As seen on TV, (hey we finally got to use that phrase!) the Kia Soul has everything needed for an escape from a hospital or anywhere…

When I had my first Ford Explorer in the early 1990s I felt that I couldn’t have a more American car. That is, the Explorer seemed like it represented everything that was good about America. It had style, lots of it, plenty of room and comfort and it was engineered to safely move its occupants briskly into the future by simply stepping on the accelerator. Of course, I knew that the Explore couldn’t really move anything into the future but it certainly felt as if I was in some futuristic vehicle that if anything could have the power to do that the Explorer could. Ford Explorer is America’s SUV Putting all futuristic thoughts aside, the Ford Explorer was and is America’s SUV. It took over where the Ford Bronco left off and immediately became the heartthrob of America’s car and SUV aficionados. It replaced the Bronco and sold more than…

We could have reviewed any model in the Ford stable of great cars but we chose the 2017 Ford Explorer SUV. All the Fords this year have the look of substantial and very stylish vehicles and perhaps that’s simply because they are quite substantial to begin with. 2017 Ford Explorer SUV The 2017 Ford Explorer’s exterior sense of style is most noticeable because that’s what we see first and that’s what attracts us to these super sport utility vehicles. It’s one of those vehicles that’s an eye turner and if you are in close proximity to it then you will most likely move in even closer to get a better look. You may walk around the car rather slowly at first and then take a few paces back so you can take it all in at one glance. Once you grasp the image of this beautiful SUV you will store…
