The good days are closer than you think. With summer just arrived, everyone is simply exploding with ideas and plans. The clubs will be full, the playgrounds would be action-packed with wild kids and the restaurants will buzz with deafening, excited voices. Some people are planning to be productive, while others are settling down with just procrastinating their way through out the vacations. But as the saying goes; when you’re having fun, time flies.

So, here are top 8 ways to make the most out of your summer:

1. Seaside Sunrise

If you live in a coastal area, then this should be on top of your “to-do” list. Whether you’re an early bird or a nocturnal creature, try to stay up or wake up before the sunrise and make your way to the beach. If you are a couple, take your partner along. There is no scenery more beautiful and breathtaking than a morning sunrise.

2. Discover Places

This does not just mean travel out of city, but also traveling around the city. Find out secret passages, street food stalls that serve mouth-wateringly delicious food, haunted buildings and churches, underground cafes, small but fully equipped libraries and laboratories, luscious meadows and gardens, mountains and peaks, orany adventurous and undiscovered spot there is.If you crave for an adventure, stop sitting around and seek one!

3. Video Game Vying

There is no better past-time activity than playing video games, especially if you own an X-box or PlayStation console. Well, you can even play impressive and thrilling online games for free. And not just a few handful of them, but there is a huge variety to choose from. And what could be a better time than Summers to try all the video games the internet has to offer. Call your friends over and have a friendly all-night video-game marathon.

4. Apply for an Internship

Fresh out of college or high school? Well, go on and apply for an internship, be it paid or unpaid. This will be quite beneficial in the long run. It will not only elevate your Curriculum Vitae for future career purposes, but will also help you gain experience and knowledge of the practical life.Other up-sides of an internship? Well, it’s a way to earn pocket money or some extra cash and helps developing social skills. You come across different people from different schools and colleges of different races and ethnicities, and this broadens your vision and thinking.

5. Initiate a Business

Why not start a business? Ever thought of that? Summer is the best time to experiment. With lots of time on our hands, we can carry out countless trial and errors and find out which business ideas are successful and which are doomed to failure. Ask your friends, family and relatives for idiosyncratic ideas and formulate a proper plan and technique to make it successful. Remember, no need to rush since summer has just begun.

Book worm or not, make sure to read books. Make a list of all the books you want to read and one-by-one cross them off as you finish reading them. It not only helps killing time, but also, subconsciously and consciously, expands our pool of knowledge. Try out genres you could never try before, because you were busy with college.

7. Try Out Different Cuisines

Explore the taste-buds. Instead of eating the same, boring food every day, try out new different cuisines, be it at home or at a restaurant. If you love and eat Thai, then give a chance to Chinese or Jamaican. Cook different dishes at home as well. Improve your cooking skills and let your family be the judge of them. Experiment with unfamiliar ingredients and create a unique recipe of your own.

8. Family Time

Last but definitely not the least, spend time with your family. Friends are our main priority in summers, but don’t forget the people who raised and fed you. Plan a day trip or a road trip and bond with your parents and siblings. Spend Saturdays in and play a game of monopoly or watch a movie together. This will help construct a sense of understanding and strengthen your relationship with them.
